I'm looking for 10 people to be part of a 30 day challenge beginning June 1st. The challenge is to walk 1mile everyday; nothing more, nothing less. The thought is to focus on discipline and accomplishing small goals and having others to help make it fun and hold accountability. Here is how it will work:
- The last week in May I would offer complimentary 30min coaching sessions (just in case you did not know, i'm a certified life / transition coach) to help get through anything that may usually stop you from accomplishing your goals.
- Starting June 1st there will be a Facebook group just for the folks who decide to take on the challenge with me. On this group page there will be:
- An Opening Day section where you can write any goals you may have (time or weight you may want to lose or simply just accomplish the discipline of doing this everyday), as well as how you plan on rewarding yourself after day 30.
- Daily Check in with the following information: 1. Did you walk your 1mile today?(Yes or No) 2. If no, what got in the way. 3. Any other discoveries you want to share.
Why in heavens name is he doing this? Honestly, I did not want to do it alone. I'm going for the 30 day challenge and as I was in my favorite thinking location, the shower, I thought it would be great to share it with others. The opportunity to have folks take on a small goal, share it with others and report out day to day to motivate and inspire each other was just too tempting for me to resist.
Why in heavens name does he think I will do this? Because I know deep down inside we are all looking to do great things. The greatest things start with a small step. This will serve as fuel for whatever is next for you. It will let you know that you can build a supportive community who may actually walk with you, no pun intended, as you reach for your goal.
