I have been life coaching for a while now. Helping people get from where they are to where they really want to be, helping folks focus on balancing, etc. I decided to pursue my certification last April with the Coaches Training Institute, which will allow me to say, I am a certified life coach through the CTI and eventually the International Coaching Federation (ICF) when I'm all said and done -- I'm going global with this.
What some of you may not know is that I have to take a written (Passed it already!) and oral exam after tons of work and 100 hours of coaching. My oral exam was scheduled for January 20th. I say "was," because I had to make a decision whether to take the exam on the appointed date or be part of history by attending the presidential inauguration. I chose door number two. "No," we don't know where we are going to stay yet (all my Virginia and D.C. people my wife and I are looking for a room for the night) but that does not matter. We are going to be there when our 44th president is sworn in.
Getting Tickets to the Presidential Inauguration
The presidential Inauguration is taking place on January 20th and the only way to get tickets is to request them through your senators and congressman. You can find your senator by simply going to google and typing: "Who are the senators for (insert your state here)." Below is info. on how to find your congressman.
This link ( http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW_by_State.shtml) will take you to a page with a map on it. Simply select your state and your congressmen (House of Representatives) will be listed as well as several districts. If you already know their name or your district, great. Just select it and get the contact information.
If you do not know your district you can do a couple of things:

I encourage you to be part of history as well. Below is information you may find helpful in assisting you with making the choice:

If you do not know your district you can do a couple of things:
- Call city hall or your town hall and they can tell you your district as well as who represents you.
- Research online
Now that I know my congressman:
Call them up, email them and leave your name, mailing address and phone number and the number of tickets you are requesting. Maybe you have a compelling story; I don't know if this helps. They should get back to you shortly.
In my case my congressman's office got back to me in one day and told me to send an email to preztix@gmail.com and I would be placed on the request list. I do not know if this email is state specific, but I was asked to provide the same information I suggested you give to your congressman.
I wish you success and keep me posted if you actually get tickets and if you know how the process works once your name is "on the request list."
